The Friends Experience in Phoenix - Prepare Your Photo Opps!

Although this blog was written based off the Phoenix pop-up, it should be rather similar in the other areas! In 2023, it is coming to New York, Seattle, Philadelphia and Paris! Click each link to book!

We enjoyed it! It is a 30-45 minutes walk through The Experience where they have neat props from the show and several photo opps with staff available to take photos of you in the various sets! I would not describe myself as a DIE HARD fan, but I definitely watched it nightly during my childhood and I absolutely enjoyed it and felt the price was reasonable for the experience. As for the negative reviews, it is a "short" experience, but they are very clear on that throughout the promos.

For the best experience, plan ahead for your photo opps! You will have a chance to take photos on:

• the orange couch in front of the fountain

• the pivot couch

• Joey & Chandler's apartment

  • the barcaloungers

  • the yellow couch by Joey's room

  • the foosball table

  • the dog statue

• the window of Rachel and Monica's apartment

• poke Ugly Naked Guy

• the hallway between the boys and girls apartments

• Rachel and Monica's kitchen

• Central Perk

  • Phoebe's guitar outside of Central Perk's window

  • the Central Perk couch

  • countertop

  • you can go behind the countertop and "make" coffee

  • the spot underneath the window with Central Perk's sign

CROWDS: If you are averse to the crowds, there were still a good amount of people @ 3pm on a Friday. Not terribly crowded, but you definitely need to be strategic about taking your photos and getting time to explore the experience without others in your view. NOTE that they do ask for social distancing once you head in, but not everyone follows this. In Central Perk, since it is the final stop, it was impossible to get photos without other people in your photos. They do offer a "private access option" starting at $395 which gives you access for your party, first thing in the morning.

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS: Masks are "highly recommended" but not required. The event boasts that they're "Monica clean" and there are lysol wipe and hand sanitizer stations throughout your walk through. They also ask for "social distancing" throughout the event, but as we all know, this is loosely followed once inside the event

ARRIVE 10 MINUTES EARLY: Every e-mail from them reminds you to get there 10 minutes early. We actually didn't, because we completely underestimated the traffic on Shea. But, we arrived and there was no mention of us being "right on time." Although this wasn't an issue for us, I still recommend getting there early as there are photo opps along the way and they stagger how people are "admitted" into the experience

BATHROOMS: There is only 1 place to use the facilities. When you first walk in, to your right (by the gift shop) and then the experience will loop back around to the gift shop at the end.

SAVE MONEY: By booking during the weekday. We went at 3pm on a Friday and the tickets were $8-9 cheaper per person!
